It's that time of the year (again) to reveal the 15 most popular recipes of 2024. I've only started this series since last year. If you have not seen it, you can check the list of the most popular recipes of 2023 here.
We will do things differently this year. Instead of starting with the number one recipe, we count it backward. Need motivation to start your cooking journey in 2025? Why not pick one of these popular ones on the blog (or, better yet, try them all)?
This year, the list is more comprehensive than 2023. You can make an excellent menu out of this list: start with a super simple non-alcoholic drink, then begin with these soft dinner rolls as appetizers/side dishes, follow up with an oven-roasted whole chicken as a main dish, and end your meal with this super easy creamy flan.
It's always a nostalgic moment for me to look back at all the recipes that were loved after a year. Of course, I couldn't do this without your support and kindness. Out of all the millions of food recipes on the internet, you decided to pick one of mine to experiment with and fall in love with it.
Now, let's get into the recipes.
15. Soya sauce chicken - Hong Kong Style
This tasty chicken dish is from Hong Kong. Though it requires many steps and techniques, it's all worth it. The chicken is marinated in soy sauce and then braised in a soy master stock for 45 minutes. You'll have the most flavorful chicken meat at the end.
14. Pan-fried parmesan crusted chicken
There isn't anything more delicious and healthy than a juicy, tender piece of pan-fried chicken breast when it comes to chicken. Please, don't be intimidated and afraid of frying your chicken cutlets. With that said, this recipe is a must-try because it only takes 30 minutes to finish.
13. Oven-roasted whole chicken
When it comes to roasted chicken, the simpler the method, the better it will turn out. That is why you need to give this recipe a try. The chicken is marinated with a dry rub and then basted with a sweet & spicy BBQ sauce while baked in the oven. This process helps to have such juicy roasted chicken like the one you used to have at the restaurant.
12. Homemade crispy pork belly
Want to achieve that perfectly golden, crackling skin of roast pork belly? Then, this recipe is definitely a good choice. Let's learn a secret to making the famous crispy skin and the juiciest flavor of the meat.
11. Soy sauce chicken thighs
Another chicken recipe that makes it to the list of the most popular recipes of 2024. These baked soy sauce chicken thighs are savory, delicious, and marinated in a soy-based mixture with pantry-ready ingredients.
10. Creamy condensed milk flan
The best part about this flan recipe is that it requires only four essential ingredients (water, sugar, condensed milk, and eggs). These flans have a smooth texture over a layer of sweet caramelized sugar.
9. Super easy cranberry spritzer
This spritzer is not limited to the holiday season, though the name definitely yells "Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas." It suits every occasion and is super easy to put together. Not to mention, it has 0 alcohol, so kids can enjoy it, too.

One of the most famous Vietnamese soups, Bun bo Hue, is loaded with sophisticated spices and flavors. You will fall in love with this soup quickly. It's easier to make than you thought, so let's try it.
7. Soft milk dinner rolls
These soft milk dinner rolls are super simple to put together with just seven ingredients. The rolls have a super fluffy texture complemented by a touch of sweetness from condensed milk
6. The best garlic butter Cajun seafood boil
This is the most beloved recipe on the blog. Read the comments section yourself and decide whether to make it or not. Here is a sneak peek of the comments from Theresa, "I tried this recipe, and it's really good." From Carlo, "Awesome recipe! Thank you! We'll probably be doing this every month! Haha! Thank you! Thank you!
5. Authentic chicken pho from scratch
There are two versions of pho that are incredibly popular and can be eaten every day by most Vietnamese: chicken pho and beef pho. Between the two, I always prefer a bowl of chicken pho because I like that not-too-heavy aroma from the chicken broth.
4. Braised pork spare ribs
It's a classic Vietnamese homecooked meal and my number one choice for comfort food. These spare ribs are marinated in a fish sauce and sweet soy sauce mixture with other extra seasonings. They are savory and tender. Bonus: You only need one skillet to make this dish.
3. Old-fashioned butter pound cake
This old-fashioned cake produces its classic fine grain, moist crumb, and thin and tender crust. Compared to the modern-style pound cake, which often includes milk in the recipe, this old-style pound cake can taste a little dryer in the flavor profile.
2. Foolproof Basque burnt cheesecake
This cheesecake has a super creamy texture, an intense caramelized layer on top, and beautiful cracklings on the side. You can never overcook or burn this cheesecake, but in case you do, it is ok! The whole point of this recipe is to achieve such tasty burnt cheesecake.
1. Fluffy condensed milk bread
